St. Gertrude the Great Catholic Church in Mora, New Mexico, has the great privilege of serving sixteen (16) historical missions.  With your generous help, St. Gertrude's can continue to serve the needs of the individual missions and their parishioners.  Northern New Mexicans take great pride in the beauty and historical character of their churches.  Established in 1852 by the Archdiocese of Santa Fe, and even older than that , we will continue to fulfill our mission.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

Volunteers are needed to make St. Gertrude the Great Catholic Church a vibrant and essential part of the Mora community.  The following are needed:
 

  • Catechism helpers

  • Eucharistic Ministers

  • Lectors

  • Mayordomos

  • Religious Education helpers

  • Altar Society volunteers to help clean the altar and wash linen...Call Frances Martinez, 575-387-5535,

ABOUT US

St. Gertrude the Great Catholic Church was founded in 1851 by the Archdiocese of Santa Fe.  It serves sixteen missions, which include: Alto del Talco, Buena Vista, Cañoncito, Chacon, Cleveland, El Carmen, El Turquillo, Golondrinas, Guadalupita, Holman, La Cueva, Ledoux, Lucero, Monte Aplanado, Ojo Feliz, and Rainsville.
