175th Anniversary

Help us Preserve the History of St. Gertrude's: Do you have any photos, documents, memories, or historical items related to St. Gertrude's Parish? We are in search of any information regarding the Church's history and would be grateful if you would bring any historical materials, written memories, or stories to the Parish Office.

There will be a meeting on Monday, January 19, 2026, in the Parish Hall to discuss celebrating the 175th Anniversary of St. Gertrude the Great!

Music Ministries!

The Music Ministry will meet every second Wednesday of the month at 6:00 p.m. at the Parish Hall. All Choir members, please plan to attend. All who are interested in the music ministry are welcome to attend.

We are in need of Adorers & subs for our Adoration Chapel. This space is available due to the devotion and consistence of our Adorers. The hours we need covered are:

Mondays: 11-12 p.m. & 2-3 p.m.

Rosary Rally

A Rosary Rally in honor of the unborn will be held on Saturday, January 31st at 12:00 p.m. at the Parish Hall. Please join the Legion of Mary in prayer!

Confirmation I & II

All Confirmation I and II students are required to attend Sunday Mass on January 25that 5:00 p.m. The Confirmandi will be in charge of this Mass.

Note: Confirmation is set for Monday, May 4, 2026, at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Las Vegas, New Mexico, at 6:30 p.m.

Baptism: Parents may register their child for Baptism at the Parish Office. Please turn in necessary paperwork two (2) weeks prior to class. Classes are the first Friday of the month. Baptisms are done on the first Sunday of the month.
Marriage: Contact Parish Priest/Office at least six (6) months before the proposed wedding date.
Anointing of the Sick: Contact the Parish Priest/Office when a parishioner is seriously ill and/or scheduled for major surgery.

Adoration Chapel: The Chapel is now open 24 hours. Anyone who wants to devote an hour of adoration please contact Deacon Eloy Roybal at 505-948-6887 or Ellen Hagaman at 505-504-4772.
Bible Study: Every Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. in the Pastoral Center. Everyone is welcome!
Catechism: Classes are held on Tuesdays from 3:45 to 5:00 p.m. at the Mora Elementary School. Please make sure your child signs in at the baptismal font to show they have attended Sunday mass.
Cemetery Plots: All plots need to be prearranged by Mission Mayordomos or the Church Office. Also, please clean and maintain your family members' plots.
Charitable Giving: Charitable Giving is on Monday's from 10-12 & 1-3 p.m.
Commodities: Commodities will be distributed on Tuesday, February 10th.

Legion of Mary: Each of you are invited to grow in your faith. Join the Legion of Mary every Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. at the Pastoral Center.
Men's Group: Meets the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel.

Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA): OCIA classes are held at the Pastoral Center on Tuesdays at 6:00 p.m.
The Sacred Heart of Jesus Society will be praying the rosary at 8:30 a.m. on the first Sunday of every month.
WINGS: Women in Need of God meets every Friday at 10:00 a.m. in the Pastoral Center.

Registration for Religious Education Sacramental Classes and Confirmation has begun. You may pick up registration forms at the Pastoral Office or after Sunday Masses.

We are called to educate our youth in the ways of the Lord. If we do not, the world will educate them in other ways. We are in need of Catechists, an Assistant Catechist and Substitute Catechist, and people to help with snacks, etc.
If you feel called to help with our youth, we need you! We will provide training and support. You provide the love and presence.

Registration for the Catechism & Confirmation Program is now open. Please stop by the Parish Office and get your children registered.

Catechism classes (1st - 8th grade) have begun and are held on Tuesdays from 3:45 - 5:00 p.m. at the Mora Elementary School. We would also like to give our children a snack during their Catechism class. We are asking for donations of snacks and small 4 oz. bottles of water. Please drop off all snacks and water at the Parish Office. Thank you and God Bless You for your support.
Confirmation classes (9th - 12th grade) are on Mondays from 6:00 -- 7:30 p.m. Please get your registration forms in asap.
OCIA class has begun and is held at the Pastoral Center on Tuesdays at 6:00 p.m. Registration is also open to any adult who is in need of any/or all of their Sacraments. Please register at the Parish Office.

The Order of Christian Initiation of Adult Classes (OCIA Classes) is a process by which adults become full, participating members of the Catholic faith. Participants, known as catechumens go through a multi-step process of studying the Gospel, nurturing their relationship with God, becoming familiar with Catholic teachings and practices, professing their faith in Jesus Christ and the Church, and receiving the sacraments of initiation (Baptism, Communion, and Confirmation). The OCIA process also sets the foundation for the ongoing journey of the discipleship that lasts throughout one's life.

OCIA classes are on Tuesday evenings at 6:00 p.m. in the Pastoral Center.

St. Gertrude's Church extends an invitation to all who wish to become members of the Catholic faith. Those who need to go through the OCIA process in order to become full members of the Catholic faith include:

Someone who is of another faith and wishes to convert to Catholicism.
An individual who was baptized in another Christian denomination and wishes to become a member of the Catholic faith.
Someone who was baptized in the Catholic Church, but never received the Sacraments of Communion & Confirmation.

If you or someone you know want to become full members of the Catholic Church, please come by the Pastoral Office and register for the OCIA program. Additionally, the classes will be open to anyone who wishes to "brush up" on their Catholic knowledge.
